Since opening in December 2009, Ocean House Café & Deli has become a popular venue for both locals and visitors alike.

In the heart of beautiful Budleigh Salterton, Ocean House offers a delicious array of food and drinks including breakfasts, lunches, afternoon and cream teas, freshly ground Italian coffees, speciality teas, luxury French hot chocolate and specially selected wines and beers.

Our kitchen

Ocean House kitchen is a hive of activity producing a daily supply of homemade soups, big fat sandwiches & wraps, savoury tarts, homemade pates, vibrant salads and a range of daily specials such as trout & dill fishcakes and goats cheese crostini. Large scones (fruit ones & cheese ones), black cherry and apple muffins, giant meringues and a huge selection of homemade cakes and desserts, all made at Ocean House, are not to be missed.

Special dining evenings

Every so often Ocean House opens its doors for special dining evenings: “Rustic Suppers”, “Seafood Suppers” “Festive Suppers” and “Pizza Nights”. Food is served in an unfussy style, the atmosphere is relaxed and jovial and a good time is had by all!

Plans are afoot to increase the types of evenings over the coming months. “Early bird” evening meals are also up for grabs during the Jazz Festival, Music Festival, and Literary Festival and some evenings during August.

Budleigh and nearby

Budleigh Salterton is a magical place with a breathtakingly unspoilt bay which has a long promenade and the town has many interesting shops to peruse – ideal for building up your appetite before visiting us!

Not far from Exmouth, Sidmouth and indeed Exeter, Budleigh is a unique little seaside town – definitely worth putting on your places to visit list.
